Stone, one of the most primordial elements of the material world, is removed from its geological context. Its irregularity, weight and susceptibility to external forces become a metaphor for the human condition: individuals who are autonomous, yet continually entangled in relationships.
The project explores the fundamental
tension between individuality and collectivity.
The process of stones coming together and breaking apart does not follow a linear narrative; it is closer to the rhythm of nature than to a structured storyline. It unfolds as a sequence of states, revealing that every form of cooperation is dynamic and inherently subject to transformation. Relationships are processes shaped by forces that are not always visible, yet always present.
Here, collaboration does not appear as a harmonious unity, but rather as a field of negotiation: friction, adjustment and, at times, disintegration.
It is precisely within this imperfection that its authenticity becomes visible.
The austerity of form, achieved through monochrome and the absence of superfluous ornamentation, directs attention to the material itself and its behaviour. At the same time, the repetition of movement, the pacing of change and a sense of suspension in space imbue the images with an oneiric quality. Reality becomes estranged not through excess, but through reduction. In doing so, it creates space for contemplation.
